Yoga originated thousands of years ago. It combines a physical and mental practice, giving you intangible benefits that are priceless. The practice takes dedication and consistency.  Going to your first class is a challenge, get ready to sweat, increase your strength and flexibility. For many members, yoga is their primary fitness routine that is practiced 4 to 6 days a week, but it also serves as a perfect compliment to other workouts.

Getting ready for your first class…….

CHECK-IN

Please arrive 30 minutes before your first class. Upon arrival, check-in with one of our desk staff who will get you everything you need for your first class. We will provide complimentary mats and yogi toe towels during your first visit. Once you become a member, no need to check in at the desk anymore, simply check yourself into class on the Ipads on the studio room doors.

HYDRATE

Drink plenty of water before, during and after your class.  We recommend that you bring a bottle of water to class.

SNACK

We recommend a light snack 30 minutes before class.

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress for comfort at Yoga Joint. We suggest sporting a tee or tank on top and form-fitting pants or shorts on the bottom. Shoes must be taken off prior to entering the class room.

NEW STUDENT WAIVER

You will be required to fill out an electronic new student waiver at your first visit. You may also create your profile and sign the waiver online prior to your first visit. If you are under the age of 16, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver with you.

MAT, TOWEL, WATER

These are the three things you MUST have when taking a class. As an Unlimited Member, no need for a mat or towel, they are included in your membership.

YOUR SAFETY

All classes offered at the Yoga Joint are designed for all skill levels. Simply find your own pace and comfort zone, do not overextend yourself. Our teachers are trained to encourage mindful adjustments when needed. Please look into our Yoga Lab classes, these will help you with form and posture.

YOUR STUFF’S SAFETY

Our studios are equipped with lockers that have custom code spinlocks to safely store your belongings. Make sure to read the inside of locker for instructions on how to set your code!
