Heather Russo


Heather began practicing yoga 10 years ago while working in corporate America.  She felt an immediate connection not only to the physical and health benefits of the practice, but also to the mental focus and clarity that yoga fosters.  Now a full time mom of two young girls, Heather completed her 200 hour teacher training at the Deerfield Yoga Center in May 2010.

 

Heather believes in a balanced, varying practice including vigorous vinyasa as well as slow, quiet, focused yin work.  Cultivating breath awareness is the key to controlling the body and mind.  For Heather, yoga is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the journey, be still and listen to your inner voice, use the breath to remain calm and always keep things simple.  Heather considers being a yoga teacher an honor – to share her love of yoga and learn from her students.
